I have a Kodak Digital Camera and it got wet, how can I fix it myself?

I have a Kodak Easy Share Z740 Digital Camera that was sent to get repaired but the extendant warranty does not cover water/moisture getting into the camera. My dad is going to kill me when he finds out!! I'm in a hurry,Please help me.

  1. Is a bookend now. Break out the credit card.
  2. If you have to ask you don''t have the technical ability yourself. Look in your phone book and see if there is a local camera repair centre and pay for the repair yourself. As this camera is a low end one it may not be worth the cost of repairing it. Maybe a replacement is in order. Have you ever thought of being honest with your father? As a parent I know I would prefer the last option. Good luck
  3. you can't fix it by yourself and I doubt if it can still be fixed. better by a new one
  4. sorry for this awfull ....accident may be this will ...a little bit and work read http://www.wikihow.com/Save-a-Wet-Cell-Phone
  5. unscrew the camera and lesve it on a hot tank or under a heat lamp for a few days(at least) its happened to me twice with my phones and it worked after
  6. im not sure, but this may help. Why would you need to buy a camera when you can get it for free? I just signed up and got Canon camera for no charge. I couldn't believe it. You can also get a Sony or Kodak camera, but I like Canon a lot better. Check this site out! You just need to enter your Zip Code. http://doiop.com/camara
  7. Well, more than likely you're dead. Kodak cameras are VERY difficult to open (at least some models). Not to mention that water will pretty much (in nearly all cases) render the camera Beyond Economical to repair. I've seen cases where there was nothing salvagable from the camera except the body and even that was is poor condition. I think you might have some great difficulty getting away with this one. Can you say 'Summer Job'?
