Are the refurbished digital cameras on the Kodak website a good deal?

I have an expensive but broken and not worth fixing digital camera and want to replace it. It is overwhelming, the choices! I just want something very basic and not too expensive this time. Thanks.

1. Over the years I have purchased refurbished cameras from Nikon and Kodak. They have both performed well and after three and five years respectively, they are still working fine.
2. While I try to avoid condemning or praising an entire brand, it seems to me the great majority of "camera problem" questions in this forum have to do with Kodak. This could be a function of the Kodak buyer demographic, but I though I'd mention it.
