- It looks pretty good to me.
- I bought a dv8000t last week, and belive me its absolutely amazing. I'm starting college as well, and gaming on it has been superb so far. Here's what I got: – Windows XP Media Center – Intel Core Duo processor T2500 (2.0 GHz) – 17.0" WSXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1680x1050) – 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 – 1.0GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x512MB) – 100 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive – Super Multi 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support – Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection – 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery The Duo Core is more than capable of handling gaming and other intense processing tasks. Along with the 7600 graphics card and 1680x1050 WSXGA screen, its one of the best laptops out there with a great price. I recommend buying from www.shopping.hp.com, as they have excellent prices and custom built laptops. If you want 2 HDs though, make sure you buy them with the laptop, as additional ones do not come with mounting brackets and are almost impossible to find.
