does anyone have an hp Inspiron laptop screen only for sale or to give away?

My daughter stepped on our laptop and cracked the screen only. Everything else works fine, but HP wants $600 to fix it. Another store wants $400. This is crazy - so we need a 14" replacement screen (monitor) only. Does anyone know where we can get one reasonably priced?

1. Check Ebay. But HP does not manufacture Inspiron laptops. That would be Dell. When you check on ebay for a replacement screen make sure you list the make and model of the computer. They usually have salvaged laptops that you can use for spare parts. Its kind of like the junk yard for computers. But if you don't know how to install the screen then your still going to have to pay someone to do that. If you don't find it on ebay then you may be better off buying a new computer. Next time I suggest you invest in an Accidental Damage Warranty. They are typically about $100 - $200 depending on the Manufacture but that is a fraction of that $600 repair bill.
