I have a Epson Stylus Color 480sxu and have printer problems?

I just bought new ink for it and it had been sitting for awhile, so when I went to use it, everything would print except black. I went to the head cleaning and cleaned it a few times and it eventually started working and the last time it was perfect. Then all of a sudden, my printer starts giving me a error message that there is an unknown error and to unplug the printer and call technical service or a dealer. I called tech, and we unpluged, rebooted and even deleted the printer and reinstalled it again and it still does the same thing?? Does anyone know what the problem may be????

1. Hi dear, I think the your printer's waste inkpad's counter reached its' limit. Usually any EPSON service will fix that, and change the waste ink pad. If there is no EPSON service near your location there is an utility to reset the counter. After resetting everything should be OK, but remember the waste inkpad have to be changed very soon, otherwise the waste ink fill inside part of the printer and damage electronic parts.
