- Maybe you should check that when you print, you have it set to "Color" and not "Black & White".
- Don“t take offense, but it has happened many different times ' Check to see if the little plastic protective sheet has been pulled off of the ink jet heads. Many people do it and I have been out to many service calls where it is something as simple or on occasion stupid, they forgot to plug it in, as that.
- did you pull the tape of the cartriges?
- Epsons have the print head built into the machine, so if your colors weren't working b4 then you may have a clogged print head, if this is the case then you can try to clean the print head with a little rubbing alcohol on the end of a Qtip. If that doesn't work the you can take it to someone to repair it, but it would probably be cheaper just to go out and get a new machine. Epsons have this problem all the time and so if you do end up needing to get a new one I would recommend a HP because they have far better quality then any othe manufacture, both on paper and in relability
- And let me guess, you've had your Epson printer for around 1 year correct? It's the same story with Epson printers. They are great printers for about 1 year. Then they break down. You will be unable to fix your printer. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Once the printheads are clogged in an Epson, the printer is done for. Next time I'd buy an HP or a Canon. Their machines are a lot more reliable according to PC Magazaine.
