printer problem epson stylus color 777 please help!?

I LET THE INK RUN OUT BEFORE REFILLING THE INK CARTRIDGE. THE INK CARTRIDGE HAS A COMPUTOR CHIP ON IT. AFTER I REFILLED THE INK CARTRIDGE WHEN I TRIED TO USE MY PRINTER IT WON'T PRINT. DO I HAVE TO BUY NEW INK CARTRIDGES AND BE SURE TO REFILL THEM BEFORE THEY ARE EMPTY OR IS IT SOME OTHER PROBLEM? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECEITED THANKS

1. Take the ink cartridge out, wipe it with cloth soaked with alcohol until it makes a black spot on the rag when holding against the head of the cartridge

3. Epson cartridges have a microchip in them that tells the printer when they are empty, so try a new cartridge. Sneaky bastages at Epson.
