I have an Epson Color 600 printer. I replaced the?

color and the black ink cartridges, but the black ink won't print. Suggestions please? Both the color and black and ink cartridges are new, from unopened containers.

1. Remove the cartridge and check that you removed the blue tape (some people have forgotten to do this. Check the connecter pad is clean and run the initialisation routine for new cartridges...if that fails, you either have a dead printer or a dead cartridge
2. make sure that you placed both pieces in the right cradle then removed the plastic cover on top of each.If so try to clean printing heads using the installed printer software.
3. Did you refill the cartridges ? most epson cartridges have to be charged when you refill them. Yes you can thank epson for that, they are the only company who does this.
