where is a good store to find an affordable but great laptop?

i am thinking of getting a toshiba or Hp laptop and have no clue what to look for so i need to do research online and go to pc specialists. where could i go.

2. ok you can go to www.tigerdirect.com and check out their large product line, or visit their store and talk with their sales associates. no i never worked for them but i do all my electronic purchases threw them. they are knowledgeable and very friendly. i do not recommend going to stores like best buy or circuit city due to the fact i have worked at those stores and i will not lie about it, they told us that if we don't know a answer to make a best guess at it and make it sound like we know it.

They provide valuable information and on notebook review have links to other review sites, pricing and purchase information. another site is http://reviews.cnet.com/laptop-buying-guide/. I found the best way to shop for a laptop or pc is to determine what I will be using it for (gaming, emailing, photos, etc.), how much money I can spend, and what other features are important to me. I also keep customer service in mind when purchasing. I want to know there is a number I can call for assistance if I have issues.
5. best Buy usually has some good information on laptops. But whatever you decide on buying, DO NOT buy it there. Look at the different models and get an idea of what you want. After doing the research, go to www.newegg.com and look for the ones you looked at best buy. Buying from Newegg.com will save you lots of dosh hands down. ;)
