What kind of microphone/headset do I need to talk online through Yahoo messenger?

I no very little about computers so this very well could be a completely moronic question (I'm sure it will be for those of you who are really good with computers) but what kind of microphone headset do I need to talk online with my niece through Yahoo messenger if I have an HP Pavilion a1110n desktop pc? And where can I get one, preferably soon. I was planning on going to the store today, but should I go to like a Best Buy or Circuit City or would a Wal-Mart or Target have it? I seriously have no clue. Thanks in advance for your help. :) Oops, I meant *know* above not *no*.

1. Any kind you like. A cheap one may not be as good. Ask the clerk for a good, cheap one, it's that easy. If you have a Mac you may need a different connection. The clerk is wise. Tell him what you have, but don't pay a lot unless you live that life style. lol

3. Any kind of pc mic/headphone will work. Walmart probably has something in their computer section, but Best Buy certainly will You can spend more but about $20 last time I looked .
