what is special about SONY laptops that makes it more expensive than other laptops like HP or Dell when it have the same programs?

1. Everything abt sony stuffs r expensive like heck...from simple gadgets to laptops...probably coz there's higher quality assurance as sony is a very reputable company worldwide which produce good quality stuffs.....maybe its not abt the programs or software bt the quality of laptops itself..
2. Tablet PC's are the most expensive (touch screen) on my Packard bell laptop there's a tablet PC, its not much though, just a note pad, it cost me £27 just for the pen
3. Brand name and quality. Sony usually doesn’t make budget notebooks, most of the vaio series has an above average build quality. Whereas companies like DELL and HP have budget notebooks (which can be somewhat inferior to a Sony Vaio in terms of build quality). But they also have high quality business line and gaming notebooks (i.e. DELL XPS, Latitude, Precision). When you consider those high end computers of DELL or HP, they can cost as much (or even a lot more) and built even better than a Sony Vaio. It all depends on what class / type notebooks you compare. However Sony also has few exceptions like the NR series, which is not much expensive than a similarly configured DELL or a HP
