HP Store Online

Is there a website that you can go to that will compare price of digital cameras from different stores?

Like a website that will comare the prices at different stores of like the same camera. Also do you know of any digital cameras that are fairly cheep (not like a 400 hundred dollar one), but takes a good photo and does not take forever to take the picture?

  1. If you go to www.froogle.com (a subset of Google), you can do price comparsions for online stores. Also, check out PriceGrabber.com for more price comparisons.
  2. Two of my favorites are pricegrabber.com and shopzilla.com
  3. Pretty much any of the shopper sites compare camera prices - but beware! Camera sales are fraught with scammers. Smarter to buy from Adorama, B&H, or another reputable dealer. What you refer to is "shutter lag," the bane of digital point & shoot cameras - which is all you're going to find in that price range. Don't know of any camera under $400 that has none or even a very small amount.
  4. For comparative shopping it would be froogle.com and shopping.com [which Consumer Reports recommends]. And then, there's the old standby mysimon.com. My favorite best buy camera is: For $180 [samys.com], I would highly recommend the following digital camera which has received over 400 5-star reviews by purchasers at amazon.com. It has the following features: 1. A 3X optical zoom; 2. A 2.5 inch 238,000 pixel LCD [higher than the Sony DSC-W55!] 3. Comes with a rechargeable lithium battery [which run about $10 via Amazon.com] and a separate charging unit that produces around 180 shots per 90 minute charge; 4. A "vivid" color setting found as a default on Nikon D40s and D80s; 5. A view finder that works in bright outdoor light; 6. Excellent quality sound videos that records piano playing; 7. Uses standard inexpensive SD memory cards; 8. Has an ASA rating of up to 1000 so it's focusable in very dim light, like at clubs and concerts; 9. It's an ultra-compact that fits into your shirt pocket; It's the Canon Powershot SD1000 ELPH. Good luck!
