Are there any digital cameras that compare to canon rebel t2?

I really want a camera for my birthday, and I fell in love with the t2, but I think It'd be much easier If i got a digital camera instead of a film camera. Are there any cameras that compare to the t2's quality?? Pleasse help!

1. i suggest that if you like film, definitely get the t2 because it's a great camera and even if digital is sometimes more practical, there's nothing like film. but canon makes a lot of great digital SLRs also, all of which are great products http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=111
2. To actually answer your question... The Canon Rebel XTi is a near clone of the T2 that you fell in love with. If they were side-by-side, at first glance, you'd have a hard time telling them apart. There are some difference in any digital vs. film camera comparison, but their features are very similar as well.
