taking a sd card from a hp digital camera how do i upload the card to my hard drive?

there is a slot i think in my computer for this sd card..it slides in ok..but no button to eject..i have to pull it out..i just checked it does say SD/and some other stuff... i have placed my SD card into this slot...now..how do i obtain the pictures? HELP? PLEASE? thanks!!!

1. go to My Computer and Click on the icon that says Sd slot or something like that. It may just say SD
2. on my laptop it has a spring like thing i push it in and it comes out i don't really know about the pics my guesss would be open the program that you are useing to view and somehow open it through there hope this helps
3. Good Job you are on the right track Plug the SD card back into the slot, thats correct there is no eject button. Things to consider make sure you have the right side up. or side depends on your configuration of the SD slot. Second, When you put the card in, it goes in pretty much all the way in, and when you push it, it kinda ejects out a little bit so you can grab it. Go to My Computer and it will have all extra drives something like, E, F, G, H, I ...along those lines, of them should pick up the contents of the SD card. Hope it works out for you. 4. go to my computer and the name of the card should be there. click on it, click on one of it's files and the pictures will be there.
5. O.K what the third guy said and look in the sys tray and you will see a little icon that when you click on it it will say safely remove " device" Maybe sd or flash or other.click this then you can remove it without ruining it.
6. go to my computer (on your screen) you will see the drive for the sd card right click on it and choose open
