i have a hp digital camera and the zoom seems to be stuck or something. the service screen says errors e301.?

does anyone know what that error means? and will it be hard to take the camera apart and fix zoom mechanism?im pretty mechanically inclined but know nothing about this camera.

1. Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it.
