why is my windows vista program not showing videos downloaded from hp digital camera?

hp photo smart m 425v , Getting noises but no pictures, HELP? Can you repeat that in english? I don't understand

1. You need to search for the proper codec depending on what the file extenion is
2. The video file is a MPEG-1 a rather old type video type. You will have to do a search for a player on the Internet if one did not come on the CD that came with your camera.
