  1. dpreview.com lots of good stuff there.
  2. Steve's Digicams reviews many cameras and is very thorough and seems to be pretty objective. He has a section in each review called Steve's Conclusion which summarizes his opinion from testing each camera. The link to his main review page is listed in the "Source" below.
  3. go to yahoo search type digital camera reviews you will see a nice long list may I suggest the canon a570 samsung s630 samsung s85
  4. am also going to buy a compact one. I hv also seen many sites including cnet but i liked this one.. http://www.photographyblog.com/articles_best_digital_camera.php however I wont iinfluence the brand that I hv chosen.. hv fun reading expert reviews.
  5. Before you look at anything go to www.cnet.com and check out camera reviews people give their opinions.I have the sony cybershot its ok had olympus before that it still works great!!
  6. I had the same question about an hdtv and some recommended cnet and store websites and a company demystifying digital…the last one demystifying digital helped me wit the hd questions I had and had tons of other info to make sure you know whats out there and what it means...so hopefully it will do for what it did for me for your camera question…good luck!
  7. The reviews at this site offer pretty thorough camera reviews with specs charts, photo test samples, video recording information and other info like accessories and software thats included with the camera http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php
  8. i recommend CANON A650 to you because it has really great options: 12.1MP, 6x optical zoom, etc and the price is very affordable too
  9. On camera durability, drop any camera at the wrong angle,it then needs repairs. Another source of info is Nov'07 Consumer Reports at your local library. You don't say what you're spending. The Canon A560 should be fine. For maybe $10-$15 more would be the canon A570 IS. I've seen the Canon PowerShot A560 for $129- I've seen the Canon PowerShot A570 IS for between $150- and $170- this camera has image stabilizer and aperture/shutter priority. That's a couple of aides in helping photographer.
  10. My favorite site is Cnet.com
