- Would you really trust buying something so important as a Canon or Nikon digital camera from China? China has been in the news so much these days because of fraud and counterfeiting that I wouldn't trust buying anyting there right now.
- If you know who you are buying by all means by it there! My sister-in-law works for a company that does business with China and gets so many electronics stuff at awesome prices! 4GB Flash Drive for $20! They are definitely cheaper than the U.S. I don't know what the price difference is but with the right connections you will save tons.
- they are cheaper but the warranty is only 3 months instead of one year
- I wont recommond it. No US warrenty, could be a counterfit, and you will have to pay for import taxes anyway when you leave China. Not the best things in the world so no.
- I've been to China every year of my life and if you want to buy electronics there from a trusted dealer, the price is usually $20-$50 more than it is in the U.S. I've seen a Canon Rebel XT there for about $600 U.S. dollars.
- I didn't find them cheaper. I did find a really cheap camera online here though http://www.alltheauctions.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/CategoryDisplay?cgrfnbr=73229815&cgmenbr=70110329&noMoreSubs=N
- Try online. I bought my Canon Rebel XTI from tiger direct for $750- thats with a lens kit! Everyone else has them advertised for $850!!!! But I did get this in Feb so watch for deals.
