- Sony. I have a Sony and my pics come out much better (quality wise) than my sister's Canon.
- Leica, Panasonic, and Fujifilm are the best. Especially when they support RAW. For inexpensive, extremely high picture quality get a Kodak with the german formula Schneider glass. For the money, I doubt that you could buy a better camera than this: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Kodak/kodak_z760.asp Both of my Sony FD73 and Canon A530 P&S cameras are junk.
- SONY ..... I have 2 cameras and they are both Sony .... its the best
- i like the Pentax line, been using for years, digital only.
- Hi, Iv Got A Samsung DigiMax L50, And Iv Had It a Year Now, I Work For A Electrical Company, And Samsung Are The Products That Are Selling The Best At The Minute, Loads Of Cheap Deals On At The Minute, The Bat Life In Mine Lasts For Ages, Picture Quality Is Perfect, Iv Added My Own Memory, Hope This Helps ;-)
- My camera is a little higher than the price range that you are looking at but it is a Canon and it is absolutely amazing!! I know someone here would not recommend a Canon but I definitely would. The quality of the photos are fantastic, it's very user friendly, and it has lots and lots of different features and settings. I would go to a good camera shop and get the salesperson to demonstrate it for you.
- In the following link is a list of drop down criteria including price, format, and features. Simply plug in your criteria and it will in turn spit out a list of cameras that fall into your specific criteria. From your price range you'll be in the compact/sub-compact and SLR-like (on the high end) formats. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare.asp Or simply browse the site on your own. By the way, dpreview is one of the best comparitive and comprehensive review sites for cameras on the net. You should spend a few hours checking it out before you make a decision. After you narrow yourself down to a few models, the side-by-side comparison is helpful. http://www.dpreview.com/
- I'd say look at the brands below in the following order: Canon Fuji Sony Panasonic
