how good are 30D Canon Digital Cameras?

and about how much do they cost?

  1. go to canonusa.com to find out. it is a very complex camera and takes alot of time to learn it
  2. Canons make outstanding cameras. Canon and Nikon are the top of the stack in terms of DSLRs. The 30D body sells for about $800 at B&H.
  3. 30D is good, but 40D is much better! 30D new is almost the same price as the 40D new....$800 to $1000.
  4. They are *VERY* good. You won't be disappointed if you get one. However, they are not available new any more. They have been replaced by the Canon 40D. Used a 30D will be about $1000. At that price, you can look at a new Nikon D80. For a few hundred more, you can also get a new Canon 40D. When you buy an SLR, you also need to buy a lens for it; usually, you can get a lens included as part of a standard kit. Ignore the poster who says they are "complex cameras". That answer tells me he's never actually used one. The 30D (and 40D and Nikon D80) has modes for beginners, including a full-auto everything mode, just like a point and shoot camera. However, unlike point and shoot cameras, the 30D also can expand as your skills and interests grow, so that you don't outgrow the camera. Whatever camera you get--enjoy it and have fun!
  5. it is really great digital camera and it has too great options
  6. I'd like to have one but I just got my XTi not lone ago so, If I were to get a second Canon DSLR body I'd pick the 30D.
