Is this a good memory stick?

I have an HP computer with 1gb of memory (2, 512mb). I want to buy 3 more gb. I know my proccessor can support it because my parents have the same computer and did the same thing. I know that I have to get rid of my two 512mb sticks because I have to have the same amount of memory? It is only $30.00 and I want to know if it will work Here It Is:http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&category_id=6601&mfgpid=187442&chassisid=-1&~ck=anav&nf=7722~0~39142&navla=7722~0~39142 What About This:http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Memory_Upgrades/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A0935820&mfgpid=187442

  1. the second one is better because it is 667 mhz so information will travel faster (in simple terms), and they will work as long as you computers motherboard supports ddr2 if not then you have to get ddr 400mhz ram. it doesn't matter if your mother doesn't support the ram speed(mhz) because it will automatically reduce it to the speed it supports, so as long as your motherboard uses ddr2 you can use it.
  2. First off; MORE info. What OS?I have a quad core 32bit w\vista ultimate, w\3g ram. even if I put 4-5 more gs, the system will only show a little over 3gs. W\64 bit processing the comp will recognize up to 32gs! ram. First youl have to check what your pc can handle. Then make sure your speeds etc. are the same. Theres a lot more but `need more info`.
