HP PSC 1410 All-in-One Maultfunctioning?

Hi, My Uncle and Granddad own a new business - an Animal Park and we bought a brand new computer what is working great and a brand new HP PSC 1410 All-in-One printer what is not working so good... Sometimes the printer doesn't print until the computer is restarts... Sometimes the printer pulls in all of the paper in the paper-slot at first I thought it was the paper type so I bought several different types of paper but it does it to them all. Ink levels are full and connections are healthy and operative fine. Does anybody know why it has done this, I am shocked that a HP - who are normally a good computer/accessory making company. printer that is only three months old is not working correctly.

1. As for the paper being pulled in, did you check to see if the lever for envelope feed is in the paper or envelope position? I don't know that printer, but a quick flip through the manual should show you where it is. That will happen if the envelope feed lever is set to envelope and you are feeding in paper.
