Bought a HP photosmart C4280 printer as a gift for a friend?

I want him to be able to use it on Christmas Day as someone else got him a new laptop. What accessories do I need for this printer in the way of cables, cartridges and paper? I cant look at the instructions as I have ordered it on the internet and dont have it yet.

1. Just go to a local store and they can get you a couple cartridges for the printer just by make and model. The printer should come with small cartridges though for immediate use. You'll have to load the drivers on the laptop first and follow the directions for a reboot and when to hook up the USB cable connector. Make sure you follow the exact instructions or you could run into trouble. NEVER have the printer hooked into the computer or even powered UP until the directions tell you to do it. Sarge
2. It should state what components are shipped with the printer at the website where you purchased the printer. I wouldn't buy any extras.
