Help!!!!! Posessed designjet 130?
I have a designjet 130 connected to a Mac running OSX. I have had nothing but problems with print quality, also sometimes the printer just decides not to print but restarting my computer seems to solve this problem. I have been on line with hp tech support and they are tellling me I need to intsall RIP software (at $700 I cannot afford this right now). Has anyone had similar problems with a Mac? PS If I print the same documents from my hp Laserjet 3600 I have no problem.

- I have that exact same problem with my Laserjet 2550L running on a Windows XP machine. I did get a similar spiel from HP. All the drivers have been updated. I was told it was a port assignment issue, or hardware issue. Had our tech guy take a look. Finally I was told that I need to install a fancy printing engine (which comes at a cost of around $600) Finally called back HP support and was informed that it was my system, even though I experience the same problem on 3 other computers I have attempted to hook this beast up to. To this date the issue has not been resolved. I just deal with the restart. Although I generally cannot offer a solution outside of continue to restart prior to printing, I understand your frustration.
