Why does my PowerPoint poster look different on print than on screen? Why is my text moving around?

I work in an area where I will be printing many posters for students. Most use PowerPoint. I have come across my first poster where that every time I print it, it shifts the text around and refuses to print exactly as shown on screen. My page settings are correct, my margins are extra. I just don't know how to "lock things in place." I don't have the ability to convert to PDF or anything. I am using PowerPoint 2003, and an HP Designjet 500 poster printer. I have printed many posters already w/o this problem. Please help.

1. Your page setting my be OK in PowerPoint, but try checking the printers settings.
