Epson is currently the market leader in high quality imaging. A multi function at home unit is going to give you brilliant photographs. Venture out to a camera shop at some point prior to buying a printer, they will generally stock nothing but Canon and Epson printers. Both Canon and Epson have a greater archival Guarantee than HP, both use a finer print head with more nozzles that provides a more precision print.

I prefer to buy Epson.
My vote goes to Espson. However consider the following: both manufacturers are pratically giving away their printers or selling them so dirt cheap but kill you on the cost of their color catridges. For a little more I will go for color laser printers. The quality is much superior. whatever printers you decide on, just make sure the printer it can handle up to 216 gsm boards (thickness like those of business cards). Most of the printers now can only handle up to 160 gsm thick paper
