hp designjet display paper jam on the front panel though there is no actual paper jam?

the firmware was then upgraded but yet it continues to display paper jam and therefore could not be used for printing jobs when left for some 3-12hrs or at times 24hrs. the paper jam disappears and the re-appears when i try to print or load paper. its a designjet t1100ps3. the firmware was then upgraded but yet it continues to display paper jam and therefore could not be used for printing jobs

1. it it says paper jam then probably it is and you cannot see it, check the printer carefully, remove ink, check at the back of the printer, check under paper tray (remove tray completely) Regards, G. http://www.howtoguidehome.com
