The power supply on my HP Pavilion 9565 laptop is very hot.?
I bought the laptop second-hand and don't know if it is normal or not. I can still pick it up, but it's so much hotter than my last one. Does anyone else have the same model? Does your run very hot too? Should I replace it?

- Well lap tops can get hot, but I would be careful, change it if I were you
- I have a dell laptop, and my power supply gets pretty hot, almost a little to hot to make me happy. However it has never caused a problem, and just unplugging it for 15 minutes has it cooled down just fine.
- it is meant to be hot that means its working its just letting out accsess air otherwise the whole thing would blow up!
- the laptop should'nt be hot, just warm, the transformer gets hot,but this is normal,I would return it,if you bought it from a shop as unsafe
- yea it's normal nothink to worry about, the transformer on my charger for my laptop gets very very hot when it's chargeing the battery, but usuall runs cooler when the charge is full and the laptop is jsut running off mains power..
- Laptops generally run very hot, and HP is no exception. Unless you smell burning it is OK.
- They do get hot. If it is uncomfortable to touch or hold, then it is likely the part has been recalled. Do a search for the model number printed on the adapter to find out.
