  1. Look in the specifications page of the user manual of your specific model. You can download from HP.com
  2. Check the power specs in the manual that has come with the unit.
  3. to find out the wattage of your PS you have to open the box and look at the sticker on the side of the PS
  4. There is a label on most, if not all, powersupplies with this information. If your computer is fairly new, it probably already has one.
  5. here is what i would do restart ur computer and right when it turns on hold the F8 button there you can find all the specs and things about your computer
  6. Try looking in the PC at the side of the power supply HOWEVER, if they say to get a 350W power supply you might want to get a 400W or 450W PSU I have an nVidia 7800GTX btw with a 550W PSU :) Hope this helps, -TBird
  7. Try seeing if it has a sticket on the side of the power supply. if not then contact HP. Most likely you have a 250w because most PCs don't come with a big power supply. also it is easy to change the power supply if you have to.
  8. THERE MAYBE A TAG ON THE BOTTOM W/SERIAL NUMBER. ID FIRST MAKE A PHONE CALL TO A REPAIR SVC OR WHEREVER YOU BOUGHT IT. THEN IF THEY NEED TO SEE IT TAKE IT TO THEM.. IT SHOULDNT COST ANYTHING.A PHONE CALL FIRST TO A NEARBY REPAIR FACILITY MAY SAVE A TRIP.SEE YELLOW PAGES
  9. Just open your casing...and look your power Supply box... ..usually, it written on it... http://tweak-everything.blogspot.com
  10. Go to the manufacturer's website and look up your model. You can also telephone the manufacturer and they will usually have a record of you purchasing the computer from them and they can tell you what it is. By today's standards 350w power supply is pretty low so your computer is probably OK but check first. When you assume something that's when things go bad.
  11. Try the HP PartSurfer. You know the model. http://partsurfer.hp.com/faq.htm
