HP Power Supply?

I am looking to replace the power supply on my HP M8200n computer. I need at least 400 watts for my video card. Any suggestions for a power supply that will work with this model?

  1. Any power supply will work as long as it is close to the same dimensions. The reason for the dimensions is because in an HP you are cramped for space and if you get a PSU that is to much larger than the one you are replacing you won't be able to get it to seat properly in the mounting brackets. I use an OCZ PSU in my custom build and it is a fantastic PSU. They are a bit pricey but they are worth in the long run, imo.
  2. The only limitations lie in the actual physical dimensions.
  3. hps power supply usually can not be replaced with after market power suppies only same type so if it came with a 200-350 power supply thats all that will work unfortunately if you have a 400-450 or better then just buy the adaptor for the video card ie 4 pin to 6 pin power converter or dula 4pin to 8 what ever is needed but due to the manufacturing it will probably top out at 300w and thats all she wrote
  4. If you want to get an accuret answer call HP or use there online support so that way you don't end up breaking your entire computer. because you put to much power into it.
