??????? Supply Memory Error ??????????

I have an hp Color LaserJet 1600 printer that i just installed today. When i went to do a test print, I got and keep getting "Supply Memory Error Magenta". What do i do to fix this??

1. A supply memory error can mean a couple of things. The first thing is that the supplies are not correctly seated/installed. Turn the printer off and reseat/install all of the supplies. Turn the printer back on and see if the error clears. It can also mean you are using compatible cartridges. If that is the case usually pressing the green "check mark" button will allow the printer to continue. It can also mean that one of your cartridges is bad or the sensor in the machine is bad (although this is rare).
