i have a hp laptop computer and my curser keeps moving all over the screen. how can i stop this..?

1. I use a laptop at work......but I bought an ordinary mouse to plug into the USB port It is much easier to use
2. If you're using the touchpad, make sure it's not dusty/dirty. Dust can carry a static charge "confusing" the touchpad as to the actual input. If you're using a mouse and it's a laser or optical mouse (usually denoted by a glowing red light under it) make sure the surface on which the mouse operates has a texture. Optical mice use the surface and find point to "track" so when you move it, it knows where it's going. Lastly, if its a good 'ol mouseball mouse, take out the mouseball and make sure the wheels inside don't have gunk adhered to them, as well as the mouseball. Hope this helps.
