- I am on one now and yes I like it. I am biased since I worked for HP for 8 years. Dell is good as well.
- NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! Do not buy HP the only thing they can do is Printers, if you can afford it go for a Dell XPS the performance on those baby's are awesome, Im using mine just now Ive had it for a while and I Love it, my H.P was really poorly bult and felt cheap for its price :) Hope this helps :D Xxx
- I have the Dv9608 and i LOVE it!!! It is fast (I bumped up the ram... but it was still fast).... It has a beautiful casing.... some kind of circly pattern, it has lightscribe, which is good but you wont use it much because of the long time it takes... it isnt refurbished, it has a 17" BEAUTIFUL HD screen, vista home premium (which, unless you are a comuputer programmer, is not that bad) and I really like the "quick launch" button touch strip above the keyboard... it makes muting and adjusting the volume very easy!!!
- A Product Usually can't be compared according to the compnay, you know why ? because inside the product the hardware that are available is not of the same compnay ( processor is not hp, or harddisk or ram , or . . . . ) hence whenever you are thinking of buying computer, please concentrate on what is inside the computer/notebook. the HP that you have given the link is having AMD processor , which am really not satisified with ! you know why , because now the market is moving very very fastly toward ** Core 2 Duo ** processor and AMD is no more considered . . . Hence why not buying a HP which is having the latest processor and graphic technalolgy. this HP link that u have given am afraid even doesn't have a good graphic card, probably the graphic is something like intel . . . if you really interested in HP product there here is a link, and am guranteeing you that this is the best ever laptop now adays in market and with gurantee will remain in the top for the coming few years . . . http://www.buy.com/prod/hp-pavilion-dv9750us-entertainment-notebook-intel-centrino-duo-core-2/q/loc/101/206726921.html and if you want some popular compnay with infact really really amazing hardware inside then below is a is the info given for the sony. I recommend you both the link HP as well as SONY. Do you think there will be any notebook to compete such a notebook with below specification : Dear Asker !!! according to me you will buy laptop once for a long period, hence why not to pay a bit more and get something which won't get vanished with the fast growing computer market. Below is a Sony Computer specification ( cost is 1,500 $ ) http://www.buy.com/prod/sony-vaio-sz-series-sz645p3-core-2-duo-t7500-2-2-ghz-centrino-duo-ram/q/loc/101/206533207.html#moreimg http://www.buy.com/prod/sony-vaio-sz-series-sz645p3-core-2-duo-t7500-2-2-ghz-centrino-duo-ram/q/loc/101/206533207.html Package Contents VAIO SZ645PA NotebookLithium-Ion BatteryAC AdapterPower CordMemory Card Adapter Processor Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2GHz Ports 1 x Mini-phone Headphone 1 x Mini-phone Microphone 1 x 4-pin IEEE 1394 - i.Link 2 x 4-pin Type A USB 2.0 - USB 1 x VGA 1 x DC Power Input 1 x RJ-45 Network 1 x RJ-11 Modem 1 x Port Replicator Hard Drive 160GB Serial ATA 5400 rpm Standard Memory 2GB Manufacturer Sony Corporation Network 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet IEEE 802.3ab Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11n Bluetooth Integrated Display Screen 13.3" WXGA Widescreen Active Matrix TFT Color LCD with XBRITE Optical Drive DVD-Writer (Double-layer) - DVD-RAM/R/RW Additional Information Notebook Height:1.0" - 1.5" Standard Warranty 1 Year(s) Limited Processor Technology EM64T Enhanced SpeedStep Technology Virtualization Technology Operating System Windows XP Professional Keyboard 86-key Manufacturer Part Number VGNSZ645P3 Expansion Slots 1 x ExpressCard/34 1 x CardBus Type II Modem 56Kbps V.92 Data/Fax Modem Integrated Maximum Memory 4GB Batteries 1 x Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) Standard Battery Manufacturer Website Address www.sony.com Graphics Controller nVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 319MB Semi-shared Intel GMA X3100 251MB DDR2 SDRAM Shared Memory Technology DDR2 SDRAM Bus Speed 800MHz Battery Life 2.5 Hour(s) to 4 Hour(s) Display Resolution 1280 x 800 (Internal) Software Included Norton 360 TrialClick to DVD - DVD CreationMicrosoft Office Ready PC with Microsoft Office Professional 2007 (60-day Convertible Trial) Memory Standard DDR2-667/PC2-5300 Cache 4MB L2 Product Line VAIO Dimensions 12.5" Width x 9.3" Depth Pointing Device Electrostatic TouchPad Product Series SZ Security Features Trusted Platform Module (TPM), TCG Version 1.2 compliantBiometric Fingerprint SensorHard Disk G-Sensor Shock Protection Chipset Intel GM965 Express Product Model SZ645P3 Product Name VAIO SZ645P3 Notebook Memory Slots 2 Populated Memory Card Support Memory Stick Memory Stick Duo Memory Stick PRO MultiMedia Card (MMC) Secure Digital (SD) Card xD-Picture Card Mobile Technology Intel Centrino Duo Product Type Notebook You can even get SONY lower models at around 1100$ which are coming in models of SONY CR24 & CR 26, but you always have to pay attention for few hardware parts : 1. processor ( Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GH (above) or Centrino Core 2 Duo 2.0 GH ( above) 2.
