can i restore my hp laptop computer witout the disc?

its an HP Pavilion zv6000 with windows XP an AMD athlon

1. no You need the disc that contains an OS on it
2. i think you can, i mean hp can't expect everyone to keep all their paperwork/cd's that come with your computer when you buy it! i just dont know how, sry but good luck!! =)
