How do you hookup laptop computer to HP deskjet 940C Printer?

Recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1705 Lap Top Computer and need to know the best way to wirelessly hook it up to HP deskjest 940C Printer.

2. if you want to hook it up wireless then your printer must be connected to your desktop pc which is connected to a network router, then you can enable File and Printer sharing and share your printer.. then you need to connect to your LAN network using your laptop, and add your 'wireless' printer
3. go to www.hp.com/support and chat with a Tech.. Best option.... .'cos it is an old printer ....and i donot think it is a network capable printer.......it connects only through USB or parallel port
