How to download software to play my dvdz again (for HP computer)?

I have a hp laptop and after using the restoring CDz to restore my computer which was my only way to get it back to work after major failier. I was tesing everything and all worked OK except it doesn't play dvdz anymore and message is need a decoder to play dvdz... I thought this package should be originally instaled can anyone help?

1. Try going to your computer manufacturer's site and download the dvd decoder from there. If not available, you will have to buy a dvd decoder such as Cyberlink PowerDVD (Costs abt $30-60).
