Can I get a DC power cord for my hp laptop computer?

I want to plug my pc into my DC power outlet (cigarette lighter) in my truck. I can't seem to get a straight answer. Everyone wants to sell me an AC power cord.

1. i dunno about a cigarette lighter adapter without the specs or laptop model number. the other alternative is to get an inverter, with a high enough output wattage rating, to supply the AC. This will probably be a couple hundred or more depending on the inverter, for a good one; to plug your laptop into. but now you could run small appliances, tools, lights. etc
2. get a dc to ac converter at wallmart they have them by the laptops just for that you only need 75 wat is all for a laptop -----wallmart
