How can I know how many GB memory my new HP Laptop computer has?

I bought a HP laptop computer at Best Buy ,and they said it has 3 GB of memory,but I need to know where can I find that information in my laptop.

1. Right click on Computer(Vista)/My computer(XP), and select properties. You should see the amount of ram underneath the Operating System
2. CONTROL PANEL, SYSTEM
3. Ram or HDD?
4. Right Click on My Computer Icon ===>Click on Disk Management then you can see the memory of drives. the sum of memories will be your hard disk memory
5. goto run and type "dxdiag" and click ok. U will see all detailed information
