HP Compaq Presario or Sony Vaio CR?

I am stuck here whether to buy vaio or hp. Please help. HP : 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 duo 160 GB HDD 2 GB Ram LightScribe enabled DVD Writer (with DL support) 0.3 M camera (The one that was on the prototype was simply amazing, I refused to believe it was just 0.32!) Note: The thing is amazingly light Cost : S$1750 VAIO: 2.10 GHz Intel Core 2 duo 200 GB HDD 2 GB Ram Ms-Office 2007 ITE Version DVD writer with DL support 1.3 M camera Quite OK weight. Cost: S$1999 These are the important specifications. I would really like to get the lightscribe enabled hp laptop, but then the vaio one is more cost effective, I suppose. Especially with the office pre-installed. I really like HP's overall appearance and camera. Both of them has Wi-Fi enabled and I am one of those guys who is gonna frequently video chat (You get the point, right?). And the office basic version cost around S$440 here. 3. I can say from owning an HP..... I would go with an HP. if your wanting to play games then neither HA. lol but if your just using it for school or something like that then i would go with the HP and you could get a fairly similar one for cheaper. just check out the hp pavilin dv6661se for instance. it has 2 gb ram 1.9 ghz dual core amd turion 64 x2 processor 160 gb HDD litescribe dvd burner its sweet and i only paid 750 for it. if your using it for gaming then like i said dont use a laptop. go for a desktop and build it yourself. start with a p5e3 asus motherboard. radeon hd 3870 x2 (possibly 2 if you want some killer graphics) a q6600 dual core processor then get any where from 4-8 gb ram (depending on what you want) then get yourself a HDD and dvd burner with litescribe for about 40 bux. the system will be killer.
4. I recommend HP for their service. Sent mine in twice, once under warranty, once after it expired. Both times they picked it up at my door (FedEx) at no cost and had it back at my door in just a few days. I do recommend HP Pavillion over Compaq Presario though, I've just never liked Compaq. HP is best. Compaq is their step child. Sony service just plain sucks! First off, they try to get out of the warranty by telling you it's been abused even if you've treated it like a baby. Then they'll charge outrageous rates and the solution to every problem is a new motherboard. Ask around, you'll see.
