How can i switch off registration reminder on new HP laptop?

The laptop has vista installed and i keep getting a pop up, register with HP for blah blah blah! First time i filled in the details, registered, sorted, or so i thought! Roughly every hour i get the pop up again! I generally select "dont ask me anymore" or sometimes i register again! Regarddless of this, an hour later there we have it again! It is driving me round the bend, PLEASE, someone must know the answer! Its an "HP pavillion entertainment pc"

1. start menu type msconfig. go to the startup tab and find any HP thing and uncheck it. click apply then close/restart. when you restart you might get something thats says settings changed. click dont show again. and your done.

3. you could ask in the microsoft vista newsgroup, accessed through windows mail. they are very helpful. sorry i dont know though.
4. Trash it and buy and Advent, that'll get rid of the register with HP messages. Of course you will keep getting register with Advent messages, but that must be better then HP messages. Or, contact customer care at HP or visit the store where you bought it, or their customer care. That's the best thing to do. If you have to use a customer care phone service you may be lucky and get something that speaks English with an accent you can understand. If not then just ask them to speak slowly. I'm sure you will get the problem solved eventually. If not give up computers and take up jogging, much better for you anyway. Get out in the fresh air. That's what I intend doing next time this computer goes wrong, that's it for me.
