my new hp dv2530ea laptops hard disc makes audible scratchy noise than normal laptops. help me pls..?

Hi I have bought a hp dv2530ea laptop 3 days ago works good but the hard disc makes scratchy noise which is very much audible. When I took back to the dealer(curreys digital UK) they told we cannot do anything unless it affects the performance. And I searched in the net and found the noise is due to core2 duo's C4 functions noise. But I disabled the function and I noted that the sound it is clearly from the hard disc and not from the processor and the processer makes a very low screeming sound which is managable . but the soud from hard disc is very nuisance to here. Please help me to solve the problem. I bought from UK and I am here for my graduate studies. Being a new place I don't know what to do. Please help me.. I wonder why the dealer is not careing about this problem and they say this is the first case to report the problem...

  1. The scratchy sound is normal because hard drives are now spinning faster in the same small enclosures. Your laptop may have acoustic silencers for the hard drive either in the BIOS or as part of the driver.
