How do I use the webcam installed in my new HP laptop?
I just got a HP laptop with Windows Vista. I didn't know that it came with a webcam until I saw the little hole on top of the screen that says "HP Web Cam". How do I access it? I can't find it anywhere.

- read the computer manual.... it will tell you... you should have a hp online manual..... meaning it is on your computer. or you could go to HP's support website and ask there.... which will be the best place to go anyway....
- HP laptops comes with a program called Quickplay (the icon is a little circly arrow) and you can use that to record stuff. If you're doing chat, most IM (AIM, yahoo IM, Skype) software will support it.
- I haven't used windblows vista except for on a friend's laptop once, but if it's like XP, i'd imagine it would be under- start, control panel, printers and other hardware, cameras and scanners. if you don't see it there, look under device manager- start, control panel, performance and maintenance, system, click hardware tab. if you click on the webcam and it doesn't say something like "this device is working properly", try the troubleshooter. if none of this works, either kick at your computer in frustration or call microshaft or HP and get help through there.
