How do I add new memory to my HP laptop for more Vista details?
My HP Paviolion dv9700 has 2.93 GB memory left and 2.00 GHz processing speed. When it was new and pristine I could utilize several of the cool Vista "look-pretties" like the window profiles that let you switch between windows. Since I've added a few programs and downloads I've lost that abilities. How can I get them back? Can you add memory to a laptop? My computer rates my "Windows experience" as a 2.6 out of 5.

- Yes you can add memory to a laptop it is a simple matter of unscrewing a screw, removing the panel and installing the RIGHT memory into the open slot, or repalcing what is already there with higher capacity memory. As for only having 2.93 gb free, that is your hard drive and you need to delete or otherwise free up more hard drive sapce. An external drive is the most common way now, but copying seldom used or documents and pictures to a cd or dvd is just as easy.
