Are HP Pavilion Laptops Good?

2. looks like a good laptop, but....it only has 1 GB RAM. Windows vista runs best at 2 GB RAM or more. Fortunately, this is the easiest part to upgrade. Just take it to any computer store and ask them to upgrade to 2 GB RAM if you notice that vista is running a little slow.
3. Please, for the love of all things holy, do not buy an HP laptop. Why? I used to think they were the bomb. Until my HP laptop crashed. Under warranty, I sent it in to HP to be repaired, over 10 days ago. They STILL haven't touched it. I think they lost it. Customer service barely speaks english, long hold times, I get run around after run around. I can't even go into what a nightmare their customer service has been. I spoke to a few PC repair guys and they have ALL said that HP is falling apart service wise. Their parts are impossible to get. God forbid you need one little part for a repair, nobody will have it. You'll have to send it in, then you're in my boat. Don't do it. I chalked my precious laptop up to a loss, and am shopping for a new one. Thank heaven for black friday.
4. A laptop is good or not is depends on the included hardware and specification, not the brand. A good laptop should meets all the following: 1. have 100GB, 120GB, 160GB or more hard disk. The more hard disk, the more software you can install, and the more space where you can put your personal files. 2. have at least Intel core 2 duo with 2.0GHZ or faster, or Intel quad core processor, AMD with dual-core processor The faster the speed is and the newer model the processor is, the better performance. 3. have ATI Radeon with at least HD2xxx series or Nvidia Geforce with at least 8xxx series or newer, and the video memory of the graphic card should not less than 256MB GDDR3 or GDDR4. 4. Have RAM with at least 1GB of memory (and can upgrade to 2GB or more later after purchase), 2GB or more are recommended. 5. have latest Intel chipset for notebook. 6. Come with genuine Windows operating system and can do system recovery. 7. Have at least one year warranty. The laptop in your given website meets the above requirement except no. 3. The above requirement are my own requirement for laptop.
