My color logo in Word prints with tiny dots on the edge on a B&W printer. How can I get rid of the dithering?

The BW printer is a high en HP Laserjet, and the dots on the outside of the logo don't appear to show up if the logo is made in black instead of the company blue. On other printers it looks better, and on the color printer it is great. But this one printer looks like a tiny trail of ants walking around all of the letters. Why? Thanks for the feedback.... I haven't done the clean printer option and will do that today. And a B&W logo prints fine on the printer - very crisp. The dots along the outside are uniform and regularly spaced, so I'd guess it is how the colors are interpreted by the printer. The HP color printer next to it looks great if that means anything.

  1. It could be the harware problem. Some parts inside that related with color (blue) catridge is dirty. Try to run cleanning catridge from printer manager (i think HP provide this software).
  2. this is a B&W printer, give it colour black ,instead of blue & try print if again it is not clear print, show printer to any knowldgable printer hardware eng.
