Can I connect a Playstation 3 to my HP Pavilion laptop?

My computer is an HP Pavilion DV 6700 laptop. It has an HDMI port. Is it possible for me to connect a playstation 3 to my laptop? Please answer only if you have good knowlege of computers and other electronics.

1. It is possible to hook up any analog device with the use of a video capture card. They are available for laptops using the card bus controller. For desktops they are widely available for PCI.
