how do i connect the router with bellsouth dsl to my hp hp pavilion laptop?

there are so many conection wires, that I am lost on where they all go to. I wanted to use this as a wireless device, but theere are so many connections, that I don't know where the all plug in tol.

  1. Your DSL modem should have only one RJ-45 jack (aka an ethernet jack, looks like an oversized phone jack). Connect an ethernet cable from there to the 'in' jack on your wireless router. Plug in the power cables for both, and you should be good to go on wireless. If you want to connect via an ethernet cable (usually a good idea at first so you can set your wireless security up), then simply connect a second ethernet cable from any of the router's 'out' slots to your laptops's ethernet jack. If you have other computers, connect them to the other 'out' jacks on the router. If you need more help, contact your ISP. They will be able to walk you through the setup.
