HP Store Online

When do you suppose the best time to buy an HP laptop is?

I want 1 gb of memory, at least 120 GB of harddrive, a webcam/microphone, Microsoft Office, most all of the goodies. But it seems like HP and Costco keep taking away one amenity or another every week, and they never just offer a complete whole package at a good price. Do you think when school season come around I'll get a better deal? Or will they jack up the price? I just need to know when I should buy a laptop when I'll get the cheapest price and the most bonuses. Thanks a lot !

  1. well ask around, perhaps some of your friends work for an IT shop or so, they have discounts almost all the time....
  2. umm never. HP is only good for printers/copiers. dont buy anything else from them. i guess you can buy paper too, but not laptops or computers. also, you can get a good laptop from lenovo or dell. try to aim for 60 gigs. then get an external hard drive thats portable. but make sure the speed of the laptop is good, and also that it has your programs and etc. that you want. you could easily get 320 gig hard drive for 100 at sams or walmart.
  3. This would be the best time to buy, HPshopping.com has some good deals on laptops... and also, go check out Bestbuy and CircuitCity, they sell HP laptops for slightly cheaper than the website...
  4. With Costco, you almost have to check back often as the stock is ever changing. As far as when to buy, if your ready and you have the cash, set your budget and begin shopping. There may be a few deals in the next week or so before school, but dont look for anything great. Even after checking what Costco had to offer, I still went else where to purchase our notebooks. Like you said, they didn't have the perfect package deal price ratio at the time. Ended up getting two C140's from Gateway.
  5. You must spend your money for the best brand. As I know HP and Dell are the best in laptops for a long time and they are very reliable too. I trusted HP and I bought a HP laptop 2 years before, and still like the day I bought it. Didn't even have to service it at least once up to now. I recommend you to buy a HP (with experience) or Dell laptop. On www.hp.com you can even customize your laptop. And also you can check the price.
