Which is better HP Pavillion TX2120US or SONY CR490EBP?

I have a Sony CR490EBP in red which is almost 2 mos old and it works great. My daughter is graduating from middle school next month and I'm planning to buy her the same (in pink) but I saw the HP Pavillion TX2120US earlier today and it looks real cool. I can't decide now which one to get. The guy from Time Warner informed me of this. I'm not that good in computers so I'm a little confused here. Both laptops are on sale until June 3rd - 17th. HELP!

1. The HP is a tablet, does your daughter need a tablet?. you have to ask her, cause tablets are use for business so you can turn the screen to the costumer to let them see.
2. The HP is a tablet, with a swivel touchscreen (similar to the tx1305ca model I have), in case you didn't realize, which ups the price quite a bit. The touchscreen is nice, and helps when writing notes. HP tablets have Broadcom wireless chips and AMD processors. The Sony seems to be the more powerful one, but it depends on what you're looking for.
3. I would go for the Sony. Real nice looking and I prefer "laptops" over "tablet PCs" that are light and not as powerful. However, you should also take a look at this HP: http://gamingnotebooks.blogspot.com/#HP The Artist Edition design is pretty sweet.
