which laptop should i get?

Hi guys :) Im looking to buy a laptop im only in gr. 10 but i find that having a laptop would be so much easier than carrying 4 binders and textbooks I will be studing either health/life science and then either be a family physician or a dentist. I plan on using this laptop for AT LEAST 3 years or as long as possible I looked at the macbook 13.3" and HP laptops on sale it seems to me that the HP laptop has much bigger hard drive and RAM but it cheapter than the mac which only has half of HP can you explain and tell me which one i should be getting? or other good quality laptops that is light, not too big but can still handle word processing, lots of music, video's other entertainment (and perhaps gaming, it doesnt have to) thank you so much and sorry for the length of this question ^^; Mac www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10099352&catid=22156 HP www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10100239&logon=&langid=EN Mac http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10099352&catid=22156 HP http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10100239&logon=&langid=EN my budget is around $1300 maximum

  1. exclusive laptop informations http://www.laptopspecial.blogspot.com
  2. the mac has more cpu power, but the HP has more ram and hard drive space. If you tend to store plenty of large files (like videos and music) then the HP is the choice. I you need raw cpu power such as in video editing, then get the mac. You decide on your needs, almost any laptop can word process, play music and videos, so you decide what you want.
  3. macs are expensive and overpriced in general, the hp that u choose is a decent computer and will fit your needs very well, however, here's a link to another possibility for you here's a cheaper one that will do all the other can do except heavier gaming http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer-Aspire-AS6920-6621-16-Widescreen-Laptop-AS69206621/sem/rpsm/oid/210331/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do or this that is a great pc for internet, storage, gaming and processing http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=290, just upgrade to 4 gigs of memory on the configurator and a larger hard drive
